I used to think, "So what? That's not so great," when I saw a Mark Rothko print. Then I saw his real paintings at the Portland Art Museum, and I was transfixed. I loved them. I had all sorts of feelings (emotions) when I looked. This has happened to me before. I have thought, "Eh, who cares?" when I looked at a picture of a painting, only to be astounded by the painting in real life. I wish we could go to a museum together!
Colors are often associated with emotions - I feel sunny (happy); I am in a black mood today (depressed); I saw red!! (angry); I'm in the pink (joyful). Here is a picture book that expresses the relationship between feelings and colors.
